Mahogany, figured mahogany veneer, poplar, with original silvered brass casters. Each 20 ½ x 18 ¼ x 13 ¾ inches.

An identical Canterbury owned by Duncan Phyfe’s daughter, Eliza Phyfe Vail is pictured in Duncan Phyfe Master Cabinetmaker in New York, p. 103.
